I Am Wonderfully Made

I Am Wonderfully Made

Her blond hair suck out in a sea of black
The school kids made fun with hateful cracks
She just took it all in with no comeback
She wanted to fit in and not be attacked
She didn't realize God made her wonderful.

God has all the riches of heaven
but his children are his treasure
If you don't believe me then look at the cross
an expression of love without measure
He perfectly formed me in my mother's womb
an act that gave Him great pleasure
I am wonderfully made.

She loved choir and wanted to sing
The teacher belittled her and she felt the sting
She put singing aside thinking she had nothing to bring
Someone else caused her to give up her dream
She didn't realize God made her wonderful.

Then God lifted her up, showing her worth.
The first will be last, and the last will be first.

God has all the riches of heaven
but his children are his treasure
If you don't believe me then look at the cross
an expression of love without measure
He perfectly formed me in my mother's womb
an act that gave Him great pleasure
I am wonderfully made.

Today she stands tall with a smile on her face
Blond hair shining bright and a demeanor of grace
A sweet voice sings with talent showcased
Her dream resurfaced and put back in place
She knows that God made her wonderful.

God has all the riches of heaven
but his children are his treasure
If you don't believe me then look at the cross
an expression of love without measure
He perfectly formed me in my mother's womb
an act that gave Him great pleasure
I am wonderfully made.
